From the moment the kids arrived, they were welcomed like VIPs, surrounded by encouragement, laughter, and community.

This summer, Tennessee Kids Belong brought the I Belong Project™ to the Knoxville Zoo, and let’s just say—it was a wildly good time.
The zoo offered a playful and welcoming space for kids to just be kids. Laughter, wide-eyed wonder, and a few unique animal encounters filled the day.
The I Belong Project™ uplifts the stories and voices of kids in foster care who are legally free for adoption. The pop-up photo and video shoots take place monthly as part of an entire day designed for youth to have fun, play and just be kids. Capturing and sharing each story is done with the utmost dignity in the hopes that the resulting videos connect children with a family.
