A Day of Belonging at The Orchard Church: Meet the Kids

Recently, Tennessee Kids Belong hosted an I Belong Project™ filming day at The Orchard Church in Memphis, creating space for an unforgettable day filled with joy, connection, and hope.

The I Belong Project™ exists to help children in foster care find permanency, connection, and belonging. These filming days are about more than capturing photos and videos; they are about creating moments where kids get to simply be kids. Moments where they are celebrated. Moments where their voices matter.

Today, we’re honored to introduce you to some of the incredible kids who were part of that day. Each one has a unique story, a vibrant personality, and a simple, powerful desire to belong to a family. Please take a moment to click on each of their photos below, listen to their words, and consider taking the next step to learn more about their adoption needs.

Because of many who gave, kids in foster care were not only able to be given their best possible chance of a family by taking the time to share their story on film, but they were also able to experience the incredible impact of being wrapped by an amazing community.

Kids enjoyed intentional time with volunteers, special surprises , and personalized gifts providing the opportunity for them to feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

A HUGE THANK YOU to each partner who gave of their time and gifts to every child who joined!

  1. It is so heartwarming to see how The Orchard Church created a space where these children could simply be celebrated as individuals rather than just being viewed through the lens of foster care. Moving beyond just capturing photos to truly honoring their voices and stories is exactly the kind of genuine connection that fosters a real sense of belonging. This initiative is a beautiful reminder that every child deserves a family and the opportunity to feel like they truly belong.
