What We Envision in 2025 and Beyond Happening in Foster Care

We envision seeing gains in recruited and better supported foster families giving much needed stability to kids in foster care whose lives are upended in uncertainty as they await unknown outcomes with their birth families.

We envision creating a culture of foster parents who are more connected and feel like they have a place to be heard and seen as they navigate the complexities of being foster parents.

We envision a surge in businesses and faith communities finding new entry points in engaging foster care and supporting foster parents in creative and unique ways .leveraging their current assets and resources.

We envision foster families being better trained and equipped to deal with things like trauma, grief, academic issues, handling difficult behaviors, and all the other things that come along with being foster parents.

Finally, we envision the kids in foster care to be seen not with a flashlight by a few in the fringes, but with a spotlight by the masses at the center of belonging. No longer at the margins of unawareness or apathy from those around them. What they need is to be centered and seen. Feeling loved, known, and cared for by more people in their communities. That only happens with all of us working together.

In an age where so much polarization and disconnection exists in our country, engaging foster care offers Americans a powerful opportunity to connect and lean on one another.

We envision this creating new opportunities and new ways to build more connection and relationships. Weaving us all together more. We envision that too.

And what we envision needs YOU and your vision, resources, and gifts. It all matters!
