A Special Night for 14 Young Ladies
Not only are the Atlanta Braves officially the first Major League Baseball team to earn the Foster Friendly® designation, but they continue to partner in so many powerful ways with Georgia Kids Belong to advocate for kids in foster care across the state.
During a recent back-to-school event hosted alongside the players’ wives, 14 young ladies from the I Belong Project received completely customized care packages filled with new clothing, footwear, personal supplies, and academic tools. The highlight of the evening? A full styling session paired with a professional photoshoot to capture new headshots for their profiles.

Georgia Kids Belong will utilize these updated portraits across their platform to recruit prospective adoptive families. And the impact goes well beyond finding matching families for these girls. As Georgia Kids Belong’s State Director Rebecca Radicchi has said, “It’s a night the girls will remember forever and it’s a new chance to advocate.” This is a strong reminder that there are so many ways businesses and individuals can help support kids in foster care.
