Janet Vestal Kelly, a co-founder and board member with America’s Kids Belong, has been named to Governor Glen Youngkin’s Cabinet as Secretary of Health and Human Resources. As Secretary, Janet will oversee 12 state agencies that provide vital services to the Commonwealth of Virginia.
While this new role will bring to a close Janet’s long-standing tenure with America’s Kids Belong and our affiliate Virginia’s Kids Belong, the legacy of her impact and her advocacy for vulnerable kids will endure.
“Being a founder of America’s Kids Belong is one of the highlights of my career,” Janet said. “Everyone on the team is dedicated to ensuring that every single child belongs.”
