Brian Mavis’ recently released book, Go Upstream: Diving Into Foster Care To Heal 10 Social Wounds, is built on the premise that human connection is a powerful and transformative element of success in addressing a wide range of social challenges.
In a just-published piece on Forbes Council, Brian directs his insights to fellow nonprofit leaders, building off his mantra, “A good family is better than a great program,” to encourage other leaders to ensure that the programs they offer stretch beyond services to also cultivate relationships and connection.
