I Belong Project™ Spotlight
This summer, Tennessee Kids Belong brought the I Belong Project™ to the Knoxville Zoo, and let’s just say—it was a wildly good time.
The I Belong Project™ gives kids in foster care who are legally free for adoption the chance to share their voices, their personalities, and their hopes for a forever family on film. And what better backdrop for big dreams than one of Knoxville’s most beloved landmarks?
The zoo offered a playful and welcoming space for kids to just be kids. Laughter, wide-eyed wonder, and a few unique animal encounters filled the day.

These video shoots are about so much more than capturing great moments (though we definitely had plenty of those). They connect potential adoptive families with the heart, humor, and individuality of kids in foster care seeking of belonging.
A huge thank-you goes to the Knoxville Zoo team for opening their doors, treating the kids like VIPs, and showing that our community can come together in creative ways to support children in foster care.

About the I Belong Project™
These events are designed for kids in foster care who are legally free for adoption to have fun, unforgettable experiences where they feel seen and loved. The day includes a professional photo and video shoot allowing youth to share their stories and showcase their personalities. The resulting profiles serve as powerful tools in connecting kids with permanent, adoptive families.
