In Indiana

There are about 12,000 children and youth in Indiana’s foster care system through no fault of their own.  Approximately 1,500 are legally-free for adoption.  When youth age out of the system without a family, they are significantly more likely to experience homelessness, unplanned pregnancy, unemployment, incarceration, and other social wounds.  Indiana Kids Belong equips communities to dramatically improve the experience and outcomes of Indiana’s children and youth in foster care so they can thrive in safe, loving families where they belong.

Partner With Us!

We want Indiana to become one of our country’s most “foster friendly” states by raising awareness and providing supportive communities around kids and families in foster care.  Help us by becoming or nominating a Business Impact Partner in Indiana.

I Belong Project

The I Belong Project™
uses high-quality videography to give children in foster care a face and a voice. We bring together child welfare, churches, businesses, and the creatives to make these days a beautiful experience for all of the children who attend. After these videos are edited, we begin recruitment for these children who are available to be adopted and are waiting for their forever family.

Prospective Parents

Every day we meet more individuals and families who are considering taking the leap to become foster parents, or adoptive parents. We know you probably have a lot of questions and would need more answers before committing. That’s normal.

Just don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you from moving forward. Contact Indiana Adoption Program (Indiana Department of Child Services) today. They will walk you through the process, help answer any of your questions along the way, and assist you in determining if becoming an adoptive parent is a fit for you. You can also visit their website, and start the process, using the button below.
