FOSTER CARE AWARENESS MONTH AMBASSADOR: Cade Thompson
In addition to all the incredible outreach events, informative panels, collaborative summits, and fun activities we have going on throughout Foster Care Awareness Month, we are also THRILLED to announce a partnership with Cade Thompson. Cade is serving as a Foster Care Awareness Month Ambassador and will help amplify our work using his incredible voice in person, from stage, and online.
Cade is an energetic and soulful Contemporary Christian music artist. Cade has had an affinity with music since his toddler days when even a preschool teacher noticed him frequently harmonizing in class. In addition to singing, his ear for music led him to become skilled in piano, guitar and drums. Shortly after finishing high school, Cade moved to Nashville and quickly signed a record deal with Red Street Records, an independent Christian label founded by Rascal Flatts member Jay DeMarcus. Thompson made waves across the Christian music community with the release of his debut single, “Provider” and in August 2020, earned his first Top 20 Billboard charting single with “Every Step of the Way.” He has also seen huge success online, where his music has earned over fifty-eight million streams to date.
While his musical accolades are impressive, we here at TKB are most moved by his heart for foster care. He shares,
“When I was just six years old, my family became a foster family. This taught me that not everyone experiences life the same. I learned to share my family, my home and my heart, which wasn’t always easy. It was what shaped my heart to love, serve, and give hope to others. Being involved in the foster care community shaped who I am today as a young adult and I am thankful for this part of my story.”
We’re thankful he is a part of our story and such a champion of our work.
