A little shy when you first meet him, Tayvein might take a bit to warm up to you — but once he knows you’re going to stick around, he’ll crack a smile for you and you’ll start to get to know a teen who marches to the beat of his own drum!

Tayvein loves being outside and exploring nature – it’s been fun for him to spend good-weather weekends out in the woods hiking or exploring the forest! He thinks joining the Boy Scouts would be cool, so he could learn even more about the outdoors.

An inquisitive sort, Tayvein likes to ask questions when he knows someone can teach him something! He likes wrestling and is hoping to join the school team someday.

Tayvein would do best in a two-parent household without other children; if there are other children they should be older by a few years so he gets plenty of attention and support. He really likes to help others – that’s actually one of the ways he shows affection – and it’s a great way for a family to bond with him through one-on-one time. He hopes for a male role model who can teach him all the things he needs to learn in life. Tayvein will thrive in a home with consistent rules and structure that doesn’t change day to day. He would prefer to remain in Indiana, as he has siblings in-state and would like to maintain a relationship with them. Interested families should understand the impact trauma can have on children, and should be prepared for Tayvein to test a few boundaries now and again (as all teens will do!). He is eager for a family that will stick with him and not give up, even on the tough days.
