“Things that I like to do outside is swing and go on the slide, the park.”
Kaylee is a real out-of-the-box thinker and loves coming up with great new ideas for solving problems! She’s as adventurous as they come – loves trying new things, enjoys having new experiences, and is definitely looking for a family that can take her to new places! With her tremendous imagination, Kaylee is keen on writing and telling stories to keep everyone around her entertained.
A determined and resilient child, she’s certain to reach her goals with the right support and encouragement. Kaylee has been practicing her deep breathing techniques to help her feel calm, and has also recently discovered that listening to music and drawing are both things that she enjoys and that help her feel centered.
Kaylee would do well in either a one-parent home with many supports or a two-parent home. Although she would love a forever family that came with older siblings she can look up to, Kaylee would also thrive in a home where she is an only child. The most important thing is that she receives the support, attention, and commitment she needs. Routine and consistency help Kaylee feel safe, so it will be critical for her family to have structure that Kaylee can rely on from day to day. She hopes for parents who take an interest in her hobbies and support her with whatever she does. It would be best if her family has experience with trauma-related behaviors, or is open to learning new and different parenting techniques to help youth with trauma histories.
