A is for Advocate! With Alexis, you won’t have to guess about how she’s feeling – she’s a strong advocate for herself, and isn’t shy about telling you what she needs. People are drawn to Alexis’s approachable demeanor and kind spirit. Independent and confident, Alexis has set a goal for herself of going to school to become a nurse – a great way to advocate for others and look out for people! There’s no boredom here: with hobbies that range from drawing to playing volleyball to fashion, it’s not hard for Alexis to keep busy. 

Alexis would enjoy being an older sister and setting a good example to younger siblings. She would do well in a single- or two-parent home with parents who make strong communication a priority and listen to what she has to say. Experience parenting teenagers would be a plus! Consistency and structure are key: Alexis will thrive in a family where the expectations are clear, and positive reinforcement is abundant. Her face lights up when adults she trusts take the time to acknowledge her efforts and offer encouragement! She’s looking forward to being part of a family, and is certain that her early life experiences will help her “come out stronger.”
