How We Work To Create Sustainable Change In Foster Care In California

California Kids Belong is helping drive sustainable change in foster care by forging a coalition for change with child welfare, businesses, faith communities and government leaders.

California Kids Belong sits on a coalition that advocates for youth in foster care, comprised of current former legal experts, Homeboy Ministries, Care Portal and others.

It is helpful when one business offers discounts to foster families or when a family’s faith community works with them to advocate for and support their own kinship and foster families. But it is only when we coalesce our unique capabilities that significant, sustainable change can take place.

We’re committed to bringing hope to communities across our state by liaising across these sectors to collaborate in order to dramatically improve the experiences and outcomes of kids in foster care. It’s a big vision that we are committed to bringing to reality in California – and across the country as part of the America’s Kids Belong family.

Coalitions for Change

We are thankful to have California Kids Belong as a partner agency and appreciate their flexibility in working with us and the children in our care to capture glimpses of the children’s personalities and help recruit permanent homes for them.

Be The Change

If you are working in the foster care and adoption space; if you’re an elected official; or if you have a platform and heart for vulnerable kids, we’d love to connect.
