“I want someone to bring me a toy for my birthday and I want to go on a trip.”

– Shayla

Meet Shayla who is a happy-go-lucky, affectionate, and smiley little girl! She’s a Native American 5 year-old girl who is currently in Kindergarten. She loves Elsa, watching movies, being read to, drawing, coloring, crafts, playing handheld video games, playing with Barbie’s, and riding a scooter outdoors. Shayla has recently learned to write her name all by herself and she is very proud of this!

A two-parent family would be best for Shayla, but it would be best to only have older siblings or to be the only child. A potential family should consider that Shayla has some developmental delays and transitioning to a home may take some time.

*Native American families will be given ICWA placement preference although all home-studied families will be considered.*
