“I really want engaging times with them as a family–like cooking or going to the movies. A lot of times, the small stuff matters more than the big stuff.”
Luci (born October 2007) is a unique teen whose interests include sewing, listening to music (rock/emo/pop), reading romance novels, dancing, singing, and watching anime. Luci is of Native American and Latinx heritage and shared identifying with anime characters with complicated family dynamics. Luci also likes to cook and would like to do more of it – sharing that pepperoni pizza, fruit, anything avocado, and muffins top the list of favorite eats!
When asked about what a future family might look like, Luci seemed especially excited about possibly being part of a LGBTQ+ family. Luci would be happy with both older and younger siblings and would love to be in a home with either dogs or cats. Luci is very self-aware and is learning new tools and techniques for self-help, sharing that trying to mediate is something that helps in dealing with conflict.
Luci is hoping for a forever family whose members understand that sometimes there is a need to prioritize mental health and self-care.
