Houston is a non-verbal child with autism who is very loving and gentle. His social worker says, “In a lot of ways there is a real innocent simplicity to him.” He loves to be outdoors more than anything but also loves going on car rides and watching sports on TV. Houston is learning to use a voice-output device to communicate and it doesn’t take long for him to curl up next to you and snuggle. Houston is an easy child to enjoy being around and as long as he has his routine, he is pretty chill and goes with the flow. He also loves to wear Crocs shoes and swing.
A family that would best help him thrive would be one that can provide him with a safe, loving environment where there is patience, support and structure.
