Brittany, age 14, is described as charismatic, joyful and sometimes shy. She has a contagious smile and a heart that is kind. Brittany enjoys spending time nurturing her stuffed animals. She has a sweet, silly spirit and loves to talk, play games, and color. Brittany is in the 8th grade for the 2020-2021 school year. Brittany needs assistance with learning and has been focusing on developing more life skills. She comes to school with a positive attitude and has earned “star of the day” multiple times for her role model behavior. Brittany would love to be part of a family with a mom, dad, and a dog.
A family for Brittany should have ample time to spend with her. A family will need to be patient, maintain a structured environment and high level of supervision for Brittany. Parents should have access to supports and services and be trained in caring for children with developmental and attachment needs. The team is hoping for a family close to South Dakota. Brittany’s sister is very important to her and they will need to have regular visits and contact.
