“Family is by love, not DNA”
Alyssa is described as helpful, energetic, responsible, caring and a good listener. In her free time she loves to bake and make jewelry. She also loves sleepovers with friends, shopping, playing sports, hiking and going to the gym. She can always make conversation and put smiles on people’s faces. Her favorite time of year is Christmas because that’s when she would spend time with family and see everybody happy and thankful for what they have.
While writing about herself, she described what a perfect family was to her. Alyssa said that she would enjoy siblings (younger and/or older), to have a big dog (or dogs) and a family who loves to travel and go on vacation. She would like the family to be laid back but set rules, and allow her to take responsibility. They will let her make mistakes and provide her a safe and stable environment. Basically, somebody she could love and trust into being her forever home. To Alyssa, “belonging” means being accepted through the good and the bad. “Nobody is perfect and I’ve made mistakes, but I hope that doesn’t stop me from being adopted.” Could you be that family she is looking for who will give her the support and love she needs to thrive?
