Make Your Individual Donation Work Harder For Kids In Foster Care

6 Ways To Multiply The Impact Of Your Gift That Might Surprise You

1

Become An AKB Partner

Recurring monthly gifts help create more consistent and predictable revenue and reduces the year-end crunch. With a recurring gift of as little as $40/month you will become an AKB partner and receive:

  • Quarterly staff meet and greet
  • Free T-shirt
  • Special opportunities to engage with the mission
  • Exclusive monthly updates and special news for partners-only
  • Our beautiful annual calendar

Manage your recurring donation at any time by accessing our Account Center.

2

Double Your Donation

Employer matching can double your donation and your impact.

Search for your employer to find out if they participate in this valuable program.

3

Sponsor A Program

Create a lasting impact as a program sponsor. We currently offer two opportunities for you, your donor-advised fund, business or family foundation to directly affect mission advancement:

  • Sponsor an I Belong Project (IBP) shoot for kids in foster care seeking adoptive families
  • Sponsor a FosterCon webinar for prospective foster/adoptive families

4

Give Via Donor-Advised Fund

We accept donor-advised fund gifts; (DAFs allow donors to avoid capital gains on appreciated non-cash assets (including crypto), making it a highly tax-efficient way for savvy investors to give back. (The Giving Block)

5

Donate Stock

When you donate stock, your contribution and tax deduction increase by more than 20%. And, you are able to deduct the full fair market value.. The same applies to donating bonds or mutual funds.

6

Donate A Vehicle

If you have a used vehicle we can accept that vehicle as a non-cash donation. If it’s time to replace your car, donating it could be a great option.

Your Business’s Support Of Foster Care Builds A Stronger Community

Sponsorship Opportunities

America’s Kids Belong hosts an I Belong Project™ shoot nearly every week. IBP is a video storytelling initiative for kids in foster care who are eligible for adoption that captures and amplifies their voices and stories with dignity and respect to help connect them with potential adoptive families.

FosterCon™ Webinar Series

Each year we receive thousands of inquiries from people interested in exploring fostering and adoption. Our FosterCon webinar series inspires and equips people from the very beginning of their journey through to how to be trauma-informed and how to thrive as a foster family. Presenting, series and event sponsorships available.

Your financial support can help start a Foster Friendly movement. Foster Friendly Communities engage local political leadership, child welfare, local retailers and faith communities to recruit, support and retain enough foster families for every child in foster care in your area. We’d love to start a conversation with you.

Customer-Facing Opportunities

Giveback Day

Designate a month (like Foster Care Awareness Month in May or National Adoption Month in November) when you will donate a percentage of sales to benefit America’s Kids Belong.

The contribution is funded by your business, but it encourages advocates for the cause to support your business during this timeframe.

Round Up Day

Invite your retail customers to “round up” to support kids in foster care. Similar to the Giveback Day you can do it in support of an awareness month or for another timeframe that you choose.

Fundraiser

Host a fundraising event to benefit kids in foster care that invites your employees and customers to take part.

For example, SourceFour, a Colorado-based commercial furniture business, has hosted a Valentine-themed contest for its designers, who also donate in support of AKB, for the past five years.

Donate To Support Vulnerable Kids

National Foster Care Month (May)

A special collection in May to benefit America’s Kids Belong is a great way to invite charitable gifts that honor mothers (Mother’s Day, May 12) and fathers (Father’s Day, June 16) , and support our mission to help kids in foster care find belonging in foster and/ or adoptive homes.

National Adoption Month (Nov.)

A special collection in November will benefit I Belong Project, our innovative storytelling initiative, that creates videos of kids in foster care who are seeking adoptive families. More than 60 percent of the kids are successfully matched with families, including many teens and sibling groups. Learn more about IBP here.

Make AKB Your Mission Partner

We would love to work with you to explore strategic partnership opportunities that activate your congregation to take action to care for vulnerable children in their area.
