Matthew, who is now 16, is described as engaging, well mannered and resilient. He is a fantastic trumpet player and really enjoys playing the trumpet and tuba in his high school marching band. In addition to music, Matthew likes to play chess, Legos and build model vehicles. It is evident that Matthew has a kind heart and desire to help others. When he grows up he would like to join the military.

Matthew continues to want to be a part of a loving and caring family that understands him and can meet his needs. He describes family as “caring, honest, trustworthy, responsible and respectful.” To Matthew, “belonging” means being taken care of and having a family who cares.
