Please excuse the mess! Our work has been growing so quickly that we can hardly keep up with our web page. We’ll have more updates on our other AKB states soon, but for now, here’s a quick glimpse at a few of our other projects.

Colorado is where the grassroots side of our work originated – using creative media (our I Belong Project™) and the faith community to recruit families to care for kids who needed parents. Additionally, Colorado created a program to fulfill dreams for kids who are aging out of foster care that is now being expanded to other states through America’s Kids Belong.

Our Colorado branch operates under its original name of Adopt Colorado Kids.

Virginia’s Kids Belong is getting organized and ready to launch in the fall of 2017!

After developing the “grasstops” government end of our model in Virginia, we are circling back to engage and unite government, faith, business, nonprofit and creative communities.

We are looking for leaders from the faith, government, business, non-profit and creative sectors who want to be involved to help end the foster care and adoption crisis in Virginia.

Please contact Janet Kelly at if you’d like to help with the launch or for more information.

We’ve spent the last year launching our I Belong Project™ and creating high quality videos of Kansas’ children who are waiting for a forever family.

You can meet the kids HERE where Adopt Kansas Kids hosts our videos.

For more information, please contact Lisel Atherton at

We’re thrilled to say we’ve also just launched our I Belong Project™ videos in Louisiana! Stay tuned for more updates and to meet these precious kiddos.
